Billie Piper, best known for her portrayal of Rose Tyler in Doctor Who Season 1 & 2. A companion of the 9th and 10th doctor, her journey with Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant’s portrayals of the Doctor finds the two battling against what always seems impossible, but nothing a Time Lord can’t handle. During the airing of the show, Billie won ‘Most Popular Actress’ at the National Television Awards for 2005 & 2006. Keith Lemon panelled on the MCM Stage about his new show The Keith and Paddy Picture Show. It consists of episodes in the form of parodies or mockumentaries, referencing movies such as Star Wars, Ghostbusters and Jaws. Never-before-seen clips were shown to the audience and the show features many well-known celebrities in this comedic tribute to pop-culture.
Starsky & Hutch
Returning after their appearance at Liverpool Comic-Con recently, the original Starsky & Hutch trio graced the crowd during their interview at MYM Buzz at MCM Central. As before, autograph signing, photo shoot and a ride in the Gran Torino were also in store.
Stars of Class Greg Austin and Fady Elsayed spoke of their experience filming the Doctor Who spin-off. Set at Coal Hill School (which features in the first Doctor Who episode in 1963), Greg plays an alien royal who fled his planet after a vicious invasion. Although he’s the last of his kind, he attempts to fit in as a human being. Fady plays a talented footballer who would never associate himself with just anyone, until an alien invasion attacks the school and alliances must form to ensure the Earth’s safety.

Andrew is an actor who plays Connor Temple on Primeval, a time-travelling sci-fi show. Also appearing in Ideal, Midsomer Murders, horror series Dracula and SyFy’s Alice, Andrew was also there to highlight the web show Wireless, of which he co-creates, directs and stars in. In a future London, social interactions are torn apart by technology, could technology itself advance to make emotionally-based responses? In a society fighting for the most state-of-the-art technology, Andrew plays a police officer who partners with a most sought-after piece of tech, an artificial intelligence named Unit White. He told me he loved acting in full productions just as much as running his own web series, and that his favourite experience was filming in Thailand for five months. Trina Nishimura & Bryce Papenbrook
Trina and Bryce both star in Attack on Titan and they promoted the second season of the animé, as Mikasa and Eren, which will air this April in Japan. Trina’s voice appears in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Rebuild of Evangelion, Steins;Gate and more. Bryce has voiced Sevenstark in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans, Rin in Blue Exorcist, Marugori in One-Punch Man and his credits go on, as he has been voice acting since age eight. Meeting Vic at his signing booth after his 1 hour talk on the MCM Stage was a delight. Most known for voicing Ed Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, he is also acclaimed for Nagato in Naruto Shippuden, Matt Ishida in Digimon Adventure tri. (Reunion) and along with Trina & Bryce (mentioned above) features in Attack on Titan. Originally from USA, he spoke of his instant love of the British chocolate bars Crunchie along with his life-long obsession with sharks. His first activity in Birmingham was straight to the Cadbury Factory to stock up, and to his surprise found that backstage also supplied boxes of chocolates. Fans gifted him with Crunchie bars throughout the weekend and one even gave him a shark plushie. Super win for Vic! On stage, he got a crowd to sing happy birthday to a guest, gave away awesome tips on voice acting and allowed audience members to personally ask him a question about anything they desired. Full of charisma and a great sense of humour, be sure to meet Vic at his next appearance.
